Harry Fowler has released his first solo album, 'Blankets', without warning on 30 October, alongside the single 'Perfect Colours', with 300 vinyl copies on sale.

Wunderhorse guitarist Harry Fowler surprise-released his debut solo album 'Blankets' on 30 October, together with the single 'Perfect Colours', according to NME. The record arrived with no prior announcement and is Fowler's first solo release outside his role in the band. It has been put out independently and is available to stream, while a limited run of just 300 vinyl copies is on sale through his official website.

NME describes 'Blankets' as an intimate collection of songs Fowler has accumulated since his teenage years. The approach is stripped back, pairing sparse, finger-picked acoustic guitar with delicate vocals. The lead single 'Perfect Colours' shows the more understated direction of the solo material, driven softly by lilting piano and an aching lead vocal.

Fowler is best known as the guitarist in Wunderhorse, the band fronted by Jacob Slater, which began as a solo project before growing into a full group. NME notes the two have been friends since they were 14 in Hertfordshire, and that the band's second album 'Midas' followed 2022's 'Cub'. Wunderhorse have kept working on new material in 2026, debuting two unreleased songs, 'Kerosene' and 'Promises', on their North American tour in July.
